The After Christmas Blahs: 3 Ways to Get Back In the Rewards Site Game

I have been trying with all my might to get back in the swing of things after the holidays. It was a long 2 months consisting of 4 birthdays, a house move around and living room renovation, and 2 major holidays each consisting of multi day trips away from home. So suffice it to say, it’s taking me a minute to get back to normal. But in the meantime, my frugal shopping habits, money saving apps and Swagbucks have taken a major backseat. Time to get back into the game. Here are a couple of ways to refocus in the new year.

1. Start Small
It is ridiculous for me to think that I’m going to start using every single app, website and coupon immediately. For me, I’m going to take a look at Ibotta and try to reach my daily Swagbucks goal for the rest of January. Then I’ll start adding other apps as time permits. Not familiar with Ibotta and Swagbucks? 2. Maximize your Rewards Sites, Apps and Time
I’ve realized that there are just some apps and rewards sites that take more time than they are worth for me. With a 3 year old and a 1 year old, there are some things I can’t do right now. That’s ok. Those things can wait until I am ready. Maybe in a few months, maybe never.

3. Create a Goal Sheet
This really helps me. I create a list of what gift cards I want and how much from each of my rewards sites. If I have something I really want, like money for a vacation or dance lessons for Seri, I use that as a goal as well.  This gives me something to work towards. I have them in order of importance so I know where to spend a bulk of my time.

Do you have goals for your Reward Site payouts?  How do you decide which sites to focus on?  Let us know!

Have fun saving and living simply,
